The potential visit, for one reason or another, was postponed time and time again, but on Saturday Ryne Giddins made the visit to Gainesville. His mother wasn't able to attend, but it was worth the trip for the 6-4, 230-pound rush specialist.
Giddins told me shortly after he left Gainesville that the visit was great and that the Gators are right there with several other teams. I still believe that it comes down to the Gators and South Florida at the end of the day like I mentioned Friday, but Giddins had some special attention today from two of the Gator coaches. That went a long way in his mind.
We will talk more about Giddins in chat Monday night at 10:00 p.m.
