Rantavious Wooten, 5-10, 170-pounds, finished his junior season with more than 700 yards receiving and 700 rushing with 14 total touchdowns. Wooten has good relationships with Travis Benjamin at Miami and Deonte Thompson from the University of Florida.
He has maintained that he would announce between Georgia and LSU on August 29 for the last several weeks. It remains to be seen if Wooten actually goes through with his announcement on Friday. If he does all indications are that he will announce for the University of Georgia.
But if he postpones this announcement, then it would be logical to assume that he has opened things back up for the Gators. Either way, Friday, August 29 should go a long way in determining which direction the playmaker will go.
Even if he does announce for LSU or Georgia some have speculated (including Wooten) that he may or may not end up signing with that team. As of now it looks like Wooten will try and make the Florida/Miami game next weekend.
