Darion Howard from Cedar Falls (Iowa) is 6-4, 225-pounds and impressed the entire Gator staff over the summer when he displayed great soft hands and caught everything thrown his way. If Orson Charles ends up at Miami like most project Howard could find himself in the mix.
The plan as it appears right now is to follow the progress early on in the season and go from there. Howard absolutely loved his visit to Florida and would certainly jump at the chance to play for the Gators. At the end of the day, I believe it might very well work out that the Gators can and will take two tight ends, the question is will Howard be the guy?
