Antwon Higgs - Inside Acces

For Antwon Higgs the season couldn't get here fast enough. The 6-2, 245-pound strong side linebacker/defensive lineman from Pompano Beach High School Institute made an immediate impact on the outcome of the game.

"We beat South Florida Prep High School 21-14," Antwon Higgs said. "I think I had a pretty good game overall on both sides of the ball. I had eight tackles, a forced fumble on defense, and then on offense I had four catches for 45 yards and one of them was a 30-yard touchdown."

Higgs has been one of those players kind of like Kedric Johnson that you seemingly haven't heard that much about them out in public and all of the sudden there they are. Higgs is being recruited by numerous schools but the question is where does he best fit? Some think that he can stay at the strong side linebacker spot if he keeps his weight down and some think he can add weight and move inside on the defensive line.

If you ask Higgs, it doesn't matter he just wants a chance to play. He was supposed to come to Florida for the home opener but now won't be able to attend but will be one of many next Saturday night in The Swamp to see the Gators take on the Hurricanes. Higgs could be in this class but the Gators would have to miss on some players ranked higher on the board.
