Saturday Roll Call - Offense

The game on Saturday is as big as it gets in recruiting circles. The Florida Gators will take on the Miami Hurricanes for bragging rights and to make an impression on prospects that might be looking at both schools. has worked hard to bring you the latest on who will and won't be coming to the game on Saturday. One look at this list and you will not be disappointed.

The Gators don't have a large class to sign in 2009, but that isn't keeping some of the very best from that class from attending the game on Saturday. However, the list of 2010 prospects attending the game is very impressive indeed. was able to catch up with most of these prospects in the last couple of days to get their plans for the weekend.

The Gators have a quarterback commitment for 2009 in Jordan Reed (6-3, 225) of New London (CT), while he won't be here on Saturday, the next big target for the Gators will. Denard Robinson (6-0, 176) of Deerfield Beach is the only other target at quarterback for the Gators right now and he is ready for the action on Saturday night.

"Man this game is going to be so crazy I am so excited," Robinson said.

The class of 2010 at quarterback is a really good one and the Gators are hosting two of the best on Saturday. According to Gator commitment Trey Burton (6-3, 225) of Venice (FL), "It will be awesome, and it will probably be the best game I have experienced."

Another exciting quarterback prospect for the 2010 class will also be in Gainesville and is looking forward to it. Jeffrey Godfrey (5-11, 170) of Miami Central will be all eyes and ears in the Swamp.

"It is going to be a good game. Florida has the upper hand because the game is in The Swamp and they have the big game quarterback that has played in all kinds of big games," Godfrey said.

The Gators have one running back commitment for the class of 2009 and are looking to sign one more elite running back. Mike Gillislee (6-0, 200) of DeLand has already pledged to the Gators and is ready to watch his future teammates take it to Miami.

"I am ready for the Gators to defend The Swamp on Saturday night versus the Canes," Gillislee said.

A pair of elite running backs that committed to other programs are also expected in attendance. Jaamal Berry (5-11, 193) of Miami Palmetto committed this past weekend to Ohio State, but that shouldn't keep him from watching the game in Gainesville on Saturday.

"I am excited because those are the two main powerhouse programs in the state that I live in and since I was a kid I wanted to see how they would compete against each other," Berry said.

Trent Richardson (5-11, 215) of Pensacola Escambia is committed to Alabama, but is also expected in. the Gators running game last week really impressed Richardson and he says, "I am excited about the game Saturday and wish both teams good luck."

The 20210 class of running backs is deep and talented and Florida looks to be hosting several for the game on Saturday. Jakhari Gore (5-10, 170) of Miami (FL) Columbus is expected. Corvin Lamb (5-10, 180) of Miami Northwestern is coming with his mom and cousin and says he, "cannot wait to see the game in The Swamp Saturday night. I am elated about it, I'm on my way."

Cassius McDowell (5-9, 165) of Deerfield Beach put the game on a new level when he said, "My excitement level for this game is WOW. I cant even explain it I am so pumped up for this game. I cant wait I am ready right now."

A couple of other Florida running backs won't make it in but they expressed their disappointment for not being able to make it. Eduardo Clements (5-11, 185) Miami Booker T Washington said "I mean it's going to be real crazy and a great game. But, I can't make it because we got a game Friday night in Atlanta and we are going to be real busy."

Sensational small back Roy Finch (5-8, 170) of Niceville (FL) added this, "I am very excited about the Florida game this weekend they looked very good this past weekend. I will not be able to go but I will be watching them on TV for sure. I will get to a couple Gator games this year, though. I really like Florida and I went to one of the camps they had about a month ago and love it."

The Gators are looking to add a couple of more receivers to the class of 2009. Already committed to Florida, Nu'Keese Richardson (5-10, 175) of Pahokee will definitely be in attendance Saturday night.

Stedman Bailey (5-10, 183) of Miramar is eagerly waiting the contest.

"Yes, I will be at the Florida/Miami game and I can't wait to see these two rivals clash," Bailey said.

All-American receiver Andre DeBose (6-0, 180) of Sanford Seminole is another that cannot wait to watch the game. DeBose told us, "I am real excited. I am looking forward to a great game."

According to Current Gator receiver Deonte Thompson, former high school teammate Rantavious Wooten (5-11, 175) of Belle Glade (FL) Glades Central who recently committed to LSU will be in attendance. Thompson said "Wooten will be here," on Monday.

The 2010 class of receivers is deep and athletic. There will be quite a few in attendance Saturday night.

Kadron Boone (6-0, 185) of Ocala Trinity Catholic says, "I'm real excited, I just can't wait."

Chris Dunkley (5-11, 170) of Royal Palm Beach is a little amped up for the weekend and said, "I can't wait for this weekend. I am so excited I am hoping I can somehow be on the sidelines for the game."

Ultra athletic Ricardo Miller (6-1, 195) of Orlando Dr. Phillips doesn't know what to expect and said, "I am really looking forward to going to the game. I hope that I get a chance to talk one-on-one with the coaches and players and I want to see how Gator fans act first hand."

Miller's teammate Kenny Shaw (5-11, 175) of Orlando Dr. Phillips says, "On a scale of 1 to 10 of my excitement level I am at a 12 right now for this game."

Markeith Ambles (6-3, 185) of McDonough (GA) said, "I am coming by myself to check out The Swamp and see how the games are down there. I am ready to get down there. I heard it's pretty cool at Florida."

According to Westlake Prep Ccoach Mike Tunsil, Ted Meline (6-2 175) of Davie (FL) Westlake Prep "will be in Gainesville this week to watch UF against UM. Meline has been in contact with coach Gonzales weekly since August. Meline has offers from UCF, UNC, and UGA. In the kickoff classic Thursday against Archbishop McCarthy, Meline was 1-for-1 for 23 yards, four carries for 68 yards, and two tackles in two quarters. Meline has great grades and a 2.9 GPA and is very high on the Gators at this time."

A few notables that have told us that they will not make it are 2009 star receivers Marlon Brown (6-5, 205) of Memphis (TN) Harding Academy, Josh Robinson (5-10, 180) Plantation (FL), and Jheranie Boyd (6-2, 190) of Gastonia (NC) Ashbrook.

The Gators are looking to add one more tight end in the class of 2009 and current Gator commitment Desmond Parks (6-5, 225) of Greer (SC) will be on his official visit for the big game weekend.

Darion Howard (6-4, 225) of Cedar Falls (IA) is expecting a big time atmosphere and said, "I am so pumped. I want to get down there and see The Swamp and all the coaches again. This will be my first time going to a Gator game so I am excited."

One tight end from the class of 2010 that is also expected in is Gerald Christian (6-3, 230) from Palm Beach Gardens. Christian told that he is "overly excited" about the trip.

The Gators have three offensive line commitments that will all be making the trip to Gainesville on Saturday. Nick Alajajian (6-4, 275) of Naples (FL) said, "I cant wait to be in The Swamp watching Florida beat Miami!"

Jon Halapio (6-3, 305) of St. Pete Catholic told us, "I thought the Hawaii game was awesome and loud. I can't imagine this weekend coming up. I just hope I have room to sit in the stadium because I know it's going to be so packed. I'm so excited. And just by watching the games just makes me more anxious to strap on the helmet and play in The Swamp....Words can't explain how excited I am to see the game this weekend."

Jonotthan Harrison (6-6, 275) of Groveland South Lake said, "I am going to do everything I can to make it to that game."

One other 2009 prospect that will be in attendance is All-American offensive tackle Xavier Nixon (6-6, 280) of Fayetteville (NC) Jack Britt and he will be on an official visit

The 2010 offensive line recruiting is off to a great start and current commitment Ian Silberman (6-5, 275) of Orange Park (FL) Fleming Island is ready for the game on Saturday.

"I am really excited because it's going to be a huge game for the Gators and the atmosphere is going to be amazing," Silberman said.

He will be joined in the stands by Leon Orr (6-4, 295) of New Port Richey (FL) Gulf who said, "I am real excited. This will be my first college game that I have attended."

One south Florida prospect not going to make it is center Brandon Linder (6-5, 275) of Ft. Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas

Later tonight we will have the defensive roll call for the game. Remember, there are likely some changes that will be made as some will be added and some will have issues with making it in. However, brings you the latest straight from the kid's mouths.
