UF/UT Time Set

As expected the Florida/Tennessee game that traditionally kicks off CBS's SEC coverage has been set for 3:30 p.m. on September 20. Florida will travel to Knoxville to begin their SEC season against the Vols.

Urban Meyer has defeated the Vols three consecutive times to start his Gator coaching career, and no other Gator coach has ever accomplished that. He looks to extend that streak in two weeks.

It will be a tough task for the Gators since Tennessee owns the series in Knoxville, winning 11-of-19 times, but Florida won their last trip in a dramatic come-from-behind 21-20 win.

This is the second consecutive year that the game will have a 3:30 kickoff. The previous three years, it kicked off at 8 p.m.

Florida is 49-23 all-time on CBS.

Cunningham Named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week

Florida's defensive end Jermaine Cunningham was named the SEC's Defensive Lineman of the Week after posting nine tackles, two for a loss and one sack against Miami. Florida's Brandon James was named the SEC's Special Teams Player of the Week after returning a punt for a touchdown last week against Hawaii.
