Tyrone Cornileus profile
"The first game against McNair, he had 13 tackles, six solo and one interception which he returned for 20 yards," Cornileus said. "The score was Stephenson 21, McNair 0. The second game was against Columbia. His stats were great considering Columbia could not penetrate the defensive line, therefore the backers got limited action. Nevertheless he was in on nine tackles, five solo.
"He did not play the entire fourth quarter. The score was Stephenson 43, Columbia 0. In both games his 4.5 speed has been demonstrated on defense and special teams. In each game, he got a solo tackle on kickoff. On defense during both games, he has made solo tackles on the opposite side of the field.
"We had a bye last week. This week we will be traveling to Ware County for a 7:30 p.m. Friday night game. We are treating this game like a playoff game. We are taking the eight motor coach buses for the team, band, cheerleaders and parents.
"Tyrone has been receiving a lot of attention from the Florida Gators. He was invited the the Florida/Miami game, however cold not make it due to his school's game the same night. We plan on attending the Florida/Georgia game."
Cornileus off to Good Start
