"I learned a lot about UNC when I was there," said Burks. "First of all, they love their basketball. That is a basketball town. But I really like Coach Bunting and they need some immediate help. Coach Bunting said I would have a chance to start and that is a plus for them.
"Before, I was ready to commit to Florida. Now, I am open. Both of those schools have their pros and cons. Now, I am kind of looking at all the PAC 10 schools."
Yesterday was the first day coaches could make in-home visits. Iowa State and LSU were in Burks' home. Most of the PAC 10 powers will visit him this week with Florida scheduled for Friday. UNC has not set one up yet with him. On the season, Burks recorded 135 tackles (78 solo) and 10 sacks.
