I want to keep everyone up to date on the players that have interest in Florida. Not only to see how things progress with the Gators but with other teams from around the Southeast that are showing interest in the potential prospect.
Columbus (GA) Brookstone High School standout Brian Vogler stands 6-7½ and 240-pounds and even though he plays in an offense that only throws the ball on average of five times a game, 10 of those balls have gone to Vogler for 244 yards and four touchdowns. The other six went for first downs. For a team that doesn't throw the ball that is about as productive as you can be. Brookstone is currently 4-0 and ranked No. 7 in the state in Class A. Vogler is averaging six tackles a game from his linebacker/defensive end position with two sacks.
Currently, Vogler has offers from Kentucky, Duke and Ole Miss. He receives mail from some of the top programs in the nation including Southern Cal, Oklahoma, UCLA, Stanford, California, SEC, ACC, Big East and Big Ten. Vogler receives around 75 pieces of mail each week and on Friday's, faxes come in with hand written notes from the likes of Nick Saban and Tommy Tubberville.
