Christian Impressed with Swamp Atmosphere

The Florida Gators have already grabbed one prospect from Palm Beach Garden (FL) William T. Dwyer's class of 2010 in Matt Elam. There after another with 6-3, 230-pound tight end Gerald Christian who was in attendance on Saturday night during UF's 30-point win over LSU.

What time did you get to Gainesville and who did you go with?

"I got there the night before, and I went with my teammates Robert Clark, and Matt Elam."

Can you talk a little bit about the atmosphere at The Swamp on Saturday?

"It was a very, very exciting atmosphere."

Which UF coaches did you get a chance to speak with before or after the game and how did that go?

"I talked to coach Urban Meyer. It went good. He punched me in my chest really hard."

What was the feeling among the recruits on how the Gators looked?

"They looked really great - anytime you beat LSU by 30."

How loud it was during the game and what did you think about the way the Gators played both on offense and defense?

"I think they did well on both sides of the ball, and it was extremely loud."

Sitting in the stands could you see yourself in the Orange and Blue and how do you think you would fit into the system that the Gator coaches run?

"Yes, I can. I think I would fit in the system well. I'm another big body for them to throw the ball to."

Where do the Gators stand for you right now?

"I'm liking the Gators a lot right now."

What was the most impressive aspect of this visit for you?

"The atmosphere at the game."
