Finch to Visit UF?

One of the most talked about recruits for the class of 2010 is Niceville (FL) running back Roy Finch. Will Finch make the trip this weekend to watch the Gators take on South Carolina?

"I am trying to make it to the game versus South Carolina but it all depends on my uncle's schedule," Finch said. "If he can get off work then we will attend the game."

One of the reasons Florida is attractive for Roy Finch is Niceville runs the same kind of offense that the Gators run.

"I am closing in on 1,000 yards this season so it's going pretty well but I am used at the slot on a regular basis for bubble screens and quick slants and stuff like that," he said. "It is very similar to what Florida tries to do with its skill players. We pretty much run the same style of offense that they do."

Finch as talked to a number of head coaches over the last couple of weeks including Coach Urban Meyer.

"I had a chance to talk to coach Meyer and it went great," Finch said. "We talked about each others families and stuff like that. He was telling me how they like me and they want me to keep working hard on and off the field. I also had a chance to talk with the running backs coach Kenny Carter. He seemed like a straight up guy and we talked about the same things that coach Meyer and I talked about."

A number of teams are in the running for Finch including Alabama.

"I took a visit to Alabama for homecoming a couple of weeks back and it was my first chance to experience that atmosphere," Finch said. "It was great and I caught up with coach Nick Saban. He was telling me how they have a power guy coming in with Trent Richardson but they don't have a speed guy to get to the edge like I can and that they are keeping a close eye on me moving forward."

Other teams that are showing a lot of interest in Finch at this time in addition to Florida and Alabama are Auburn, Michigan and Florida State.
