Richardson, Collins Package Deal?

Five-star running back Trent Richardson and his cousin James Collins are trying to make arrangements for a joint official visit to Florida. Collins is a 6-1, 230-pound linebacker at El Camino Junior College. caught up with both of them over the weekend.

What schools do you have written offers from?
TR: "I have offers from everyone."
JC: "Utah, Oregon and Oklahoma."

What schools have you visited and the ones you visited together if any?
TR: "I have already been to LSU, Florida and Alabama unofficially. But we plan to visit all three officially together. James is in the process of setting one to Florida."

Are you planning to enroll early?
TR: "I'm not too sure of enrolling early as of now. It's still pending."
JC: "Yes, I will be available to leave for spring after signing day."

What are the most important factors with regards to picking a school?
TR: "High educational standards, playing time, and family."
JC: "The school's need and family."

Trent, can you talk about your relationship with Coach Meyer and Kenny Carter?
TR: "I really like Coach Meyer as a coach and person, and Coach Carter seems to be a great, cool coach also."

James, have you spoken with the UF staff?
JC: "I have spoken with all of the Florida coaches but most recently Coach Meyer and Coach Strong. They have all been very down to earth."

Trent, Florida is tops in the SEC in rushing touchdowns, yards per carry and second in the league in rushing yards per game, but people still don't consider them a running team. How appealing is that UF offense to you from a RB point of view?
TR: "It's very appealing to me from a running back's standpoint because I am a downhill runner and I love to pick my cuts and go."

James, what are your thoughts on UF being the No. 1 scoring defense in the SEC and near the top in the nation having only allowed 11 touchdowns on the year?
JC: "That's a big factor in my love for the Gators."
