What I will Look for

It will be a nice change of pace to watch Florida play this weekend knowing the outcome is inevitable, if not it would be one of the biggest upsets in the history of sports.

Having said that I certainly don't think that will be the case. I was trying to decide what I I would look for in this weekend's contest. Would it be the amount of time the starters play? Or perhaps the injury bug? Can three or more running backs each crack the 100-yard mark? Special teams touchdowns? Defensive touchdowns? Or might the Florida offense score every time it touches the ball on Saturday? Either way you go there are more ways to enjoy game when the outcome has been decided.

Looking through the stat sheet this year over an 11 game span Citadel stands at 4-7 on the year and 2-6 in the Southern Conference. Taking a closer look at their losses looks like this, at Clemson 45-17, at Appalachian State 47-21, Elon at home 27-23, at Furman 34-20, at Samford 28-10, Georgia Southern at home 44-41 in over time and at Wofford 33-28. The Bulldogs have scored 309 points in 11 games but have given up 324 points on the season.

The thing that jumps out on the stat sheet is the junior wide receiver from Columbia (SC) Andre Roberts, 5-11 and 175-pounds. Roberts has a whopping 90 catches on the season for 1,268 yards and 14 touchdowns. He has had a touchdown reception in every game but two. In his 11 games played his average longest reception per game is 36 yards, Which brings me to what I will look for in Saturday's contest against the Bulldogs.

Will Andre Roberts have at least one touchdown reception?

Will he exceed his average receptions per game of around nine?

Will he have a long of 36 yards or more?

Will these Bulldogs score more than the Bulldogs the Gators faced in Jacksonville?

What do you think?
