Jones Finally Makes it to The Swamp

Jarvis Jones is one of the top linebackers across the nation. The 6-4, 225-pound superstar from Columbus (GA) Carver high school talked about his recent trip to the University of Florida, a trip he has been trying to make for sometime.

The Florida Gators have had the middle linebacker spot well represented with players such as Brandon Siler, Channing Crowder and currently Brandon Spikes. Is Jarvis Jones the next in line?

"I arrived around 2:00 p.m.," Jones said. "The first thing we did was park and went to check in. After that we walked on the field. Florida on game day is crazy, the fans are so pumped up and you can feel the energy in the air. I did see some other recruits, but I didn't talk with them, my teammates that were with me loved it. In the stadium was everything you wanted as a football player, the fans, the noise, the blue and orange colors. The noise level was so high, South Carolina couldn't hear their play calling."

"I think the team played great, the defense I loved. They just have a swag that it's three-and-out every time they are on the field, they never stop playing. After every play 11 people were around the ball, now that's GATOR DEFENSE."

"I picture myself in the middle of that Gator defense making big time plays, running out of that tunnel to thousands of Gator fans. I spoke with Coach Meyer, Strong, and Hevesy. They all told me about how much opportunity I would have to be their middle linebacker next year. I really think Florida is a great school, and yes I will be taking an official visit."
