Lynden Trail takes in The Swamp

Year in and year out Miami is home to some of the nation's top talent and this year is no different. Miami (FL) Booker T. Washington standout defensive end Lynden Trail is one of the best from the class of 2010. Trail took time out to talk about his recent trip to the University of Florida.

At 6-7½ and 210-pounds, Trail is a speed rusher in every sense of the word. He has good strength numbers for a player of his size with a 245-pound bench press, 375-pound squat, 335-pound dead lift and a 205-pound power clean.

Trail made the trip with reporter Luke Stampini from SouthFloridaFootball.com and his teammate Quinton Dunbar.

"The first thing we did when we arrived to Florida was walked over to a tail gate party and did some interviews."

The one common theme amongst the recruits that attended the Florida/South Carolina game was the feel for the atmosphere and Trail was no different.

"Man Florida is so crazy it is the loudest stadium that I have ever been in. The campus seems really cool and I plan on being a vet as a back up plan and they have a great vet program."

While Trail didn't talk too many of the other recruits at the game he could tell that everyone was having a great time.

"They all were into the whole Florida experience just like I was and the noise was deafening."

"I got a chance to go down on the field before the game started and I watched Tim Tebow and Jeff Demps and other players warm up they really are a family oriented town. During the game I saw a lot of rotation going on with the defensive ends which lets me know that everyone plays. I felt like the defense played great with the pressure they put on the quarter back forcing Smelly to throw multiple interceptions. I spoke to almost every Gator coach but it felt the best when I got a chance to talk with Urban Meyer and he knew who I was which made me feel even better. The most impressive part of the visit was the Stadium and the tour of the facility and meeting the coaches but I don't see myself making any official visits to the Gators because they are only a couple of miles away from Miami."

One event that seems to get every recruits attention is when the Gators run out of the tunnel. I asked Trail if at any point during or after the game he thought about what it would be like to run out of the tunnel.

"I think about it all the time."

Trail received an offer from Rutgers last night, which brings his total up to four offers to date. Florida, South Florida, Florida International and Rutgers have all offered.
