It certainly was as if the players were getting ready to go home, despite the happy face team administrators want its players to put on for the public.
"We've got to go out and play, regardless," said Peerless Price. "If we were 1-12, we'd still have to go out and play. I think that's what we were last year, we still fought, got us a victory against the Jets, we just got to go out there and play."
Conceivably, there is potential for the Bills to drop the last three games because of the sudden shock and depression stemming from being out of the playoffs in all likelihood. Last year, the Bills had been out of the playoff chase for a while so they were over any shock and depression associated with being a non-playoff participant.
Price was asked about that and he answered – sort of – what he thpught about that theory.
"Shocking? Yeah, we feel like we could have won a lot more ball games. We feel like we're better than 6-7, but these are the cards we were dealt and this is the situation we put ourselves in. We still go to go out there and play, go out there and win, regardless of what the situation is."
