Patterson Visiting This Weekend

Ohio State commitment David Patterson will visit Florida this weekend along with ten or so others. Patterson is a four-star recruit from Warrensville Heights, Ohio.

Right now, Ohio State is one of those teams that can not do any wrong. They are playing for the national championship and the Buckeyes should clean up in recruiting, especially in-state. Two super Ohio prospects will visit Florida this weekend, defensive tackle David Patterson and tight end Louis Irizarry. Less than two weeks ago, Patterson committed to Ohio State. Patterson, 6-3 and 285 pounds, is from Warrensville Heights, Ohio.

"I have always wanted to go since I was a little kid," said Patterson. "This season they showed they can compete because Ohio State was down before. Now, they are back on top and they are pulling in a great class with some great players in Ohio."

Before his commitment, Patterson had already visited Boston College and Miami. He then committed to Ohio State and cancelled his Maryland visit but kept his Florida trip. So why is this highly regarded 4-star recruit visiting the Gators?

"I still want to take some trips even though I am committed to Ohio State. But for me to change my mind I would really have to be persuaded. It has to be a better situation than at Ohio State. One thing I know about Florida, they need tackles. I may also take a fifth trip, maybe to Tennessee."

Along with Irizarry and Patterson, the following prospects will visit Florida this weekend -
Ernie Sims
Dee Webb
Anthony Hill
Jermaine Moreira
Dwight Stephenson
Tranell Morant

JUCOs Bill Griffin (a center from Ventura JUCO in California
Anthony Guerrero (a guard from Cerritos JUCO in California) Tavares Washington
