The 6-1, 180-pound wide receiver Je'Ron Stokes has informed FightinGators.com that he will indeed take a visit to the University of Florida.
"I am supposed to visit the Gators on December 12," he said. "I want to learn more about the program. We haven't talked about an offer at this time but plan to do so when I step on campus."
On new Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin, Stokes had this to say.
"I know a little bit about him," Stokes said. "He has some great experience, but I still need to find out more about him. He is supposed to call me this week."
Florida is in great shape at the wide receiver position as recruiting heads down the home stretch. Andre Debose, Marlon Brown, Chad Bumphis, Rantavious Wooten, Randall Carroll and others have expressed interest in the Gators and all should visit, some sooner rather than later. When the class is signed sealed and delivered I believe that the Gators will sign two more wide receivers. One thing to keep an eye on is all the national media attention that the Gators are attracting and have been for some time. I still think we could see a few names at this position start to pop up as the Gators continue to gain momentum, look to win the SEC Championship and another national title.
