Last week Kedric Johnson gave his prediction on how the Gators would do this past Saturday against Florida State.
"I think when it's all said and done Florida's offense and defense will be too fast and disciplined for Florida State and Gators win by a score of 35-7," Johnson said.
Not bad for Gator fans and if his ability to predict the outcome of games is any indication of how the Gators finish the season then the Gators take care of Alabama on Saturday and Oklahoma a few weeks later. However, Johnson did say that the games will be too close to predict a final score.
For Johnson the thought of becoming a Gator was a very easy one.
"It means a lot to me to be a Gator and I really hope that I can contribute and make an already strong and powerful school even better."
At the time many Gator fans were unaware of the name Kedric Johnson, but it didn't take long to realize he was the one in the backfield sacking the quarterback. In only 11 games this season he finished with 24 sacks. He has the kind of speed off the edge that any defensive coordinator would love to have and he brings that rare combination of speed with that long frame at 6-5 and 220-pounds.
Catching up with Kedric Johnson
