Kyle Koehne Selected as All-State

The Florida Gators are bringing in one of, if not, the top ranked offensive line classes in the nation with players such as Nick Alajajian, Jonothan Harrison, Jon Halapio and of course Kyle Koehne. Fresh of a state championship Koehne took time out to speak with FightinGators.com.

"We just won the state championship by beating a team named Ft. Wayne Dwenger for the title in Lucas Oil Stadium and I was named first team all-state," Kyle Koehne said.

"It's definitely an honor being part of one of the top football programs in the country," he said. "It is amazing how many people support the Gators even all the way up here in Indy. It's been a thrill watching them play and how well they have been playing. It makes me even that much more excited to come up and be part of the program. I think no team in the nation can compare to the Gators as long as they play to the best of their abilities. It's amazing, however, since the loss to Ole Miss how Tebow has taken control of the team and lead them to all of these victories. They have stepped up their game to a new level."

Kyle did not get a chance to watch the Gators dismantle Florida State last weekend but says he has a pretty good idea how this Saturday's showdown with Alabama will turn out.

"It's going to be a great game but I think that the Gators are just too fast to be stopped and are playing at the top of their game."

With the Gators taking care of business in the Georgia Dome, Koehne turned his attention to the national championship game.

"It will be Florida versus Texas and the Gators will come out on top 35-21."
