It has long been rumored that Brandon Moore will make his decision from two Southeastern Conference powerhouses - the defending SEC and BCS Champion Gators and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
"I will make my announcement on the 22nd," Moore said. "I have been on an official visit to Florida and took an un-official to Alabama and that's all I need to see."
Moore was blown away with his time spent in Gainesville this past weekend and even more impressed with head coach Urban Meyer and just as important defensive coordinator Charlie Strong. Look for the Gators and coach Strong to stay on top of this situation until the Jan. 22. It is always a tough pull getting the top ranked players from the state of Alabama and this year is no different. Another one of the states top prospects, cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick will take his official visit this weekend with his parents.
The point is I think that Alabama and Auburn are consumed right now with beating each others brains in and the Gators might be the beneficiary of these actions this year and the immediate years to come. Moore wouldn't be moving that far from home if his parents decided to move to Gainesville.
