No Rest for Four-Star Quarterback

The season is over and recruiting is in full swing, but Deerfield Beach quarterback Denard Robinson is still playing hard on the football field. The starting quarterback for Broward County in Friday's Broward–Dade Counties All-Star game was looking for pride in the South Florida classic.

Denard Robinson is also trying to juggle a college visit schedule that will have him visit at least two more schools.

He will also be running track this spring competing in the 200 meters and the 4x100 meters for Deerfield Beach.

"It's going alright and am starting at Quarterback," Robinson said of the big game Friday. "I love all my receivers. Dwayne Difton, Duron Carter, we have talent all over the place.

"We are running a little bit of everything. It's going to be a wide open offense. You never know I might line up at wide receiver and throw it to me. We are going to do everything."

Robinson has already made official visits to Georgia, Florida, and Michigan and has one set up for Kansas State. He will take a fifth but is not currently sure where that trip will be. Robinson talked about the schools of interest.

Michigan: "It was a nice trip...it was alright. It was the first time I saw snow and Ann Arbor was nice too. Greg Matthews was my host (from Orlando). He is a senior coming up. I was also with Tay Odoms from Pahokee. Adrian Witty and I were with Tay and Greg and having a good time. Adrian will be visiting Florida next weekend. The coaches are like a family atmosphere. I loved that."

Georgia: "They are a good team. The coaching staff is real close with the players. I like the players and I like all of it up there."

Florida: "I haven't met the new quarterback coach, but I met Coach Meyer and Coach Gonzales and they are pretty real. All of the players are really close and I like that. They said they are going to send (Coach Loeffler) to see me soon."

Kansas State: "I know the coach is back, but I don't know much else."

Robinson is not sure just what he will make his decision based on. He still has see everything and then join with his family in the decision making process.

"I still have to think about it," he said about the reasons for making a college choice. "My family and I have to sit down and have that talk. When we have that talk, we will make the decision."

Denard Robinson is a dynamic play making quarterback with both his arm and his legs. His choice of schools to visit shows his interest in playing quarterback an in an offense that will show off his talents. This looks to be a tough battle as signing day nears.
