At 6-3½ and just under 230-pounds Jarvis Jones projects at the middle linebacker position next season and is being recruited by some of the biggest names in all of college football. His last trip to Gainesville was one that lived up to the hype. What did Jones think this time around?
"The overall visit was great," Jones said.
A lot of players went home this weekend which left current members on the roster pulling double duty none more so than safety Ahmad Black and cornerback Joe Haden.
"The players that I had a chance to hang out with the most were Joe Haden and Ahmad Black," Jones said. "They are some real good dudes. I almost felt like I was already there."
The last time he spent time with Coach Meyer and Coach Strong, Jones came away extremely impressed and this visit was no different.
"Coach Meyer and Strong talked about having the opportunity to get some playing time and possibly winning another national championship," he said. "I think that the situation that I would be in is pretty simple. I walk on campus and pretty much would be second team middle linebacker."
