Florida Hosts Six Big Time Prospects

The Florida Gators are in the midst of closing on another big time recruiting class and will host six big time prospects for the final recruiting weekend of the year for the class of 2009. Included in the six are four prospects already committed to the Gators that will be in town to make sure their choice has been validated. The group of six is as dominant a group as you will see anywhere.

Below is the list of prospects ready to have a good time in Gainesville and allow Florida to show them what being a Gator is all about. There aren't six better prospects anywhere on one campus this weekend, that is how important this visit is.

January 22-25 Official Visitors
Jordan Reed New London (Conn.)
QB |
Breakdown: Most likely the only quarterback in the class, Reed has all the physical tools of a Tim Tebow including his size. He committed early to the Gators, shortly after Friday Night Lights and will be allowed to groom as a backup to both Tebow and Brantley in 2009. He relishes that role and the chance to learn from the Heisman Trophy winner.

Nu'Keese Richardson Pahokee (Fla.)
WR |
Breakdown: Richardson is a big time athlete and the Under Armour All-American will be visiting Gainesville after numerous trips. He marks the second Pahokee prospect to commit to the Gators in as many years , following freshman All-American cornerback Janoris Jenkins to the Gators. Nu'Keese is all flash and dash as a receiver and a great one.

Marlon Brown Memphis (Tenn.) Harding Academy
WR |
Breakdown: Brown is a big time target and his 6-5 height make him a big priority for this recruiting class. Not known for his speed, Brown showed big time burst in the Under Armour game a few weeks ago and the gators would love to bring his size, speed, and athleticism to Gainesville for the fall.

Breakdown: Debose is Mr. Electric with the ball in his hands and can wow you at any time. He was maybe the most publicized prospect that has committed in the month of January and the Gators are extremely excited to have him playing offense for them in 2009. Debose is a game changer.

Gary Brown Greensboro (Fla.) West Gadsden
DT
Breakdown: Brown was the most dominant defensive lineman at the Under Armour week of practices and comes into Gainesville for probably his tenth time or more since the recruiting process began. Brown grew up a Gator fan and lived in Gainesville when he was younger. He looks to take his one and only visit this weekend and sign with his beloved gators in less than two weeks fulfilling a huge dream of his.
