At 5-11, 185-pounds with sub-4.4 speed, Mack Brown has all the tangibles of one of the top ranked backs in the Southeast.
Brown has good strength numbers with a 295-pound bench press and a 465-pound squat. After a sophomore season where he surpassed 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns, Brown followed it up with an even more impressive junior season with more than 1,700 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns.
"I was real excited when I received the offer from Florida," Brown said. "I can play in any offense but I do want to be able to run the ball. I am real excited for a school like Florida to offer me with the type of numbers that they put up every week. The bigger the games that you play in the more exposure you get and my mom and dad are both real excited about the offer that Florida gave me."
One of the top ranked running backs in the Southeaset, Brown and his family are big fans of the Gators and the offer came as no surprise. Brown and his father are heading down to Gainesville next weekend for junior day and it will be interesting to see their thoughts after that visit. Right now, they have the Gators at the top of their list with arch rival Georgia.
