Brooks Awaiting Offers

After not taking any corners in the class of 2009, the Florida Gators have their sights set on a number of corners from the class of 2010 and one of them aims to impress.

Terrence Brooks, from Dunnellon (FL) High School, stands 5-9 and 175-pounds. What he lacks in height, he more than makes up with speed and heart. Brooks is hoping to catch the eye of the Gator coaches.

"So far in the last month I have gotten letters from over 20 different colleges," Brooks said. "All are D-1. I've been to a couple camps, such as the first Friday Night Lights camp that the Florida Gators hosted. Also I've been to the Under-Armour Camp held not too long ago, and I plan to attend the upcoming Nike Football Camp.

"At the moment, the schools that are currently interested in me are Florida, Florida State, South Florida, and Connecticut. I actually got my first offer not too long ago from UCF. I was informed that there would be many more offers to come."

"The tapes that my coach sent off were sent out not too long ago," he said. "So good things are happening already. Another important thing that happened to me is that I was invited to numerous junior days. They were sent from Florida, South Florida and also Central Florida. I have already attended one and that was the University of Florida. I loved everything about UF. I'm really looking forward to kicking off my senior season. People expect a lot of me this upcoming year and I'm going to give it to them."
