Green Hearing from a Handful of Schools

Tampa Catholic is home to two of the state's top prospects, Chaz Green and Christian Green. Christian has offers from some of the nation's top programs, including Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, South Florida, Louisville, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State and Alabama. Most teams are recruiting him to play either quarterback or wide receiver.

Currently, Christian Green is 6-2 and 200-pounds with a 4.46 40-time, 300-pound bench and 324-pound squat.

"I have heard from a lot of schools at this point but would like to hear more from Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, South Florida, Tennessee, Notre Dame and Southern Cal," he said.

Green is starting to get a little more comfortable with the Gator coaching staff.

"I know a lot more about them now that I have been to their junior day and now that I have been getting to know Coach Meyer and the coaching staff better," he said. "It would be great to play for great coaches and a great group of players. All of it was great UF is a very special place."

Many feel that playing in the spread is the perfect fit for him and Green feels the same way.

"It's appealing because it could utilize my abilities to make plays in open space and reading the defenses better. I think that what separate me from other players is my size and ability to use my speed to get away from players and my ability to work hard."

While Green's father wasn't able to make the visit for junior day he is looking forward to coming back up in the spring to see with his own eyes.

"I thought that the weight facilities were great," Green said. "It had all of the first class equipment and the locker room was one of the best locker room that I have ever seen. I was very impressed at the hospitality and how they made me feel welcome and at home."

When asked if he at anytime during his trip visualized playing for the Gators, he responded with this.

"Oh yeah, I could visualize myself playing there for four years."
