From Plainfield (IN) High School, James Hurst has great strength numbers for a high school junior with a 350-pound bench press, 525-pound squat and 300-pound power clean. This past season Hurst graded out at better than 95 percent, playing offensive tackle and defensive end.
While Hurst doesn't know much about the Gators, he is looking forward to learning more about the champs when he pays a visit to Gainesville in the very near future. Hurst has offers from Notre Dame, Indiana, Purdue, Michigan State, Illinois, Oregon, Stanford, North Carolina, Duke, Penn State, Miami, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisville and Mississippi State.
Hurst has a clear plan on how his recruiting process will go moving forward.
"I have visited Notre Dame, Indiana, Purdue, Mississippi State and will visit North Carolina, Duke, Florida, Tennessee and Georgia," Hurst said. "I will cut my list to 10 the first week in April and commit the first week in August."
