"I have offers from Florida, Tennessee, South Florida and Stanford and all of them are recruiting me the same," Nickell Robey said. "I would like to hear more from Virginia Tech, LSU, Alabama and Ohio State."
While all the schools are showing him the same amount of attention he currently has a good connection with the Florida staff.
"I have a good amount of contact with Charlie Strong from Florida," he said. "My strengths are my speed and ability. The thing I like the most about Florida is the environment and the people that have a positive attitude about things."
Robey isn't sure what the deciding factor or factors will be to base his decision, but he knows a few things that will play a role for his family.
"Getting a great education is a big factor, playing as a true freshman and my family being able to come see me play," he said.
Robey has a lot of interest in the Gators at the moment and spent a lot of time with some players in the 2009 class while visiting Florida this past season. He has tremendous burst and quickness and can play on either side of the ball. Florida is looking at a number of great looking corner prospects and Robey is certainly one of them. The Gators do look for the "taller" corners but make exceptions in the case of players as talented as Nickell Robey and Lamarcus Joyner. The state and Southeast is loaded with talented corners and Florida will look at all of them moving forward to determine the best fit for both parties.
