Jefferson Would Fit in with the Gators

Tony Jefferson is one of the top two-way players on the West Coast. From Chula Vista (CA) Eastlake High School, Jefferson plays running back and safety and is currently 6-0, 195-pounds and can be seen wearing the No. 1 jersey for head coach John McFadden.

"I think I would fit right in with the Gators because they are all about speed and that's what I like," Tony Jefferson said. "I am a great hitter that moves fast on defense and I need to work on shedding blockers, plus I have lots of family that lives in Florida."

Jefferson has a host of schools that have offered, including Florida, USC, Stanford, Notre Dame, Oregon State, Fresno State, UCLA, Colorado State, Tennessee, Purdue, Arizona and San Diego State.

"I am hearing the most from Florida, Southern Cal and Notre Dame," Jefferson said. "My top five would be Florida, Southern Cal, Notre Dame, UCLA and Tennessee."

On Florida, Jefferson had this to say: "They are the best team in the country and I would fit in fine if I take the opportunity. I am not sure which position to play at the next level and Florida isn't either, we will just see what happens when I get there."
