MD Speedster Hoping to Hear More from UF

The class of 2010 is loaded with gifted skill players that all have one thing in common, speed. Hassan Dixon may have more speed than anyone.

From Germantown (MD) Northwest High School, Hassan Dixon is gaining interest from Pittsburgh, Stanford, Maryland, West Virginia and Duke. Currently 5-9 and 170-pounds, Dixon plays a little corner and running back and has been timed as low as 4.3

"I have no favorites and have been to junior day at Maryland and have also been invited to Pittsburgh, Duke and West Virginia," he said. "Florida is a team that I have not had contact with but have received some mail from them.

"Ultimately, I do want to get in contact with Florida because it's both a great academic and athletic school. I also love palm trees and hot weather. I am not sure at the present time what position Florida likes me at but hopefully running back, defensive back or even kick return.

"I can fit in wherever they need me, whether it's running back or using my speed on special teams. I feel I can be essential for the program anywhere on the football field. It's crazy, I actually had goosebumps when I first received mail from them. I am truly honored to have gained interest from the Gators. They are a team that I used to watch growing up as a kid and still to this day so I am excited.

"My top factors are going to be academics, majors offered, facilities, location, coaches, players, success of team and of individual player success."
