At 6-2, 183-pounds, Kacy Rodgers is your ultimate tall corner that so many defensive coordinators love to have. With 4.45 speed he becomes even more attractive and hasn't timed since last summer. From Southlake (TX) Carroll High School Rodgers is very familiar with the Gators.
"I have had a lot of contact with Coach Bedford and talked to Coach Meyer once so far," Rodgers said. "They are recruiting me as a corner. Defensively, I feel I can play all types of defense from man, press and zone. I am very excited to have the opportunity to play for one of the best schools in the country and it's always been a dream of mine to go to Florida."
The main factors that Rodgers and his family will look at include major, location, campus life, environment with coaches and players and making sure it's the right path to graduate.
Last season he had 16 tackles, six solo, one forced fumble, three interceptions and 22 pass breakups. He played corner on varsity and wants to play either corner or safety. Duke, Houston, Southern Miss, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Florida have all offered.
