At 5-11 and 175-pounds, James Louis gave opposing defenses nightmares last season as he racked up 56 catches for more than 1,100 yards. He also had 10 interceptions on the defensive side of the ball.
From Delray Beach (FL) Atlantic High School, Louis had this to say about the national champs.
"The Gators are my No. 1 team right now and that's where I want to be," Louis said. "I talk to Urban Meyer and Billy Gonzales all the time. I am not sure on any kind of time table because I am still going to look into other schools, but the Gators are my No. 1 team and it's been that way for a long time."
Louis is a dynamic playmaker on either side of the ball, but it's on offense where he is attracting the most attention. The Gators, in my opinion, will look to bring in four wide receivers from the class of 2010 and right now you must include James Louis in your early mock class. Did I really just say "mock class" in March? Louis has offers from Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, Ole Miss and Virginia Tech.
