Rogers gets Florida Offer

Da'Rick Rogers is one of the most physically gifted wide receivers in the country. At 6-3 and 215-pounds running consistent sub-4.4 with a 40-inch vertical and 11-foot broad jump, he possesses all the physical tools you want in a wide receiver.

Currently holding offers from Alabama, LSU, UCF, Mississippi and West Virginia, Da' Rick Rogers added another to the list, one that he has been waiting on.

I caught up with Rogers last Friday on his way to the 7-on-7 passing tournament this past weekend and this is what he had to say about a potential offer from the Florida Gators.

"I do have a lot of interest in the Gators," he said. "A Florida offer would mean a lot to me I like the way that they run that program. My two favorites are Florida and Alabama so an offer from them would really make a big difference in recruiting for me."

Tonight the offer came from the BCS Champs as the Gators extended a formal offer to Da'Rick Rogers. He spoke with both Coach Kenny Carter his recruiting coach and head coach Urban Meyer.

"This offer has me all pumped up," Rogers said. "I mean who wouldn't want to play for Florida. It's amazing. I definitely can't wait to get down there this spring break. It definitely puts them in the top three. Florida is an amazing place."

Rogers hauled in 66 catches for 1,300 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.
