JaWuan James Extended Stay in Gainesville

The state of Georgia is loaded with top talent with players like Da'Rick Rogers, Mack Brown, Garrison Smith, T.J. Stripling, Brandon Burrows, Markeith Ambles, Storm Johnson and offensive line prospect JaWuan James. The one thing that they all have in common - high interest in the University of Florida.

One could make the case that Florida is at the top with all of these players, including JaWuan James. A four-star offensive tackle prospect from Suwanee (GA) North Gwinnett High School James is 6-6 and 313-pounds. He holds offers from Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, USC, Clemson and many more. He recently took a visit to check out the Gators with his father and step-brother.

"We had a great trip," James said. "We kept having so much fun we decided to keep staying one more night, four days in all we spent at Florida. I really liked it, meeting Tim Tebow, seeing all the facilities and meeting all the coaches was probably the best part for me."

James is a focus for the Gators as coach Urban Meyer, coach Kenny Carter and coach Steve Addazio are all recruiting the nation's 10th rated offensive tackle prospect.

"It was real exciting talking to Coach Meyer, Coach Carter and Coach Addazio in person," James said. "It was great to see that the head coach is committed to his players getting their degree's. All the coaches were real hyped up and that was a great feeling to have. It gets all the players hyped up and they have great relationships with their players. I like the fast tempo that kept everyone moving. The graduation rate is outstanding, they had a 100 percent graduation rate last year and are on track to hit 100 percent this year as well. Percy Harvin will come back and get his degree to keep that record intact. Even though they have won two of the last three national titles the visit exceeded my expectations of what I thought it was going to be like."

James talked about a few factors that he will use to determine his college of choice.

"Academics and graduation rate is the most important factor for me and my family. After that, it's all about the coaches to see how invested they are in me as a player off the field, helping me become a better person and a better player on the field."

James has visited Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Clemson, Oregon, Auburn and Florida. He does want to visit Southern Cal and Oklahoma over the summer.
