Cobbs Readying to Narrow his List

At 6-2 and 205-pounds, Demarco Cobbs from Tulsa (OK) Central High School is the nation's No. 3 ranked wide receiver. Cobbs had a special guest this week when Coach Bryan White from the University of Florida showed up.

"Everything is going great right now and Coach White came to see me," Demarco Cobbs said. "I am getting ready to narrow my list down to 10 very soon. Right now I have over 30 offers and I think it's time for me to cut it down some.

"I was excited that Coach White came to my school. They don't really need to leave the state to recruit with all the talent in the state of Florida so that shows me that they really want me. It felt great to have him come out I must be someone they think can come in and contribute to the team. Florida is definitely going to be in my top 10 and I have a lot of interest in them."

While Cobbs has more than 30 offers a few have shown him a lot of attention. In no particular order, they are Florida, USC, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas A&M. Arizona, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Florida, Arkansas and Texas A&M have all been to his school this spring.

Cobbs did receive some very big news recently.

"I got the ACT out of the way and that is very big for me I scored a 24 on the test."

Cobbs and the rest of his team have been working hard throwing and getting the timing down but he can't wait to put the pads on for the first time this season.

"May 19 the pads go on and I can't wait," he said. "I am very excited to get it going this year."

You will be hard pressed to find a physically more impressive looking wide receiver than Demarco Cobbs.
