Richardson to Camp at UF

Byrne High School standout wide receiver Torian Richardson is attracting attention from all around the country. At 6-0 and 175-pounds with a 4.36 40-time it's no wonder Richardson is a hot commodity.

"Everything has been going real good right now I have a lot of interest from Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, West Virginia and Central Florida," Torian Richardson said. "Also, I have offers from Michigan State, Rutgers, Louisville, Mississippi State, East Carolina and Syracuse. Right now Alabama and Tennessee are showing me the most attention. Of the teams that have offered me I think that Louisville and Mississippi State are recruiting me the most."

"So far I have visited South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee and to be honest with you I liked them all about the same."

Richardson thinks he is about to gain two more offers.

"I am pretty sure that both West Virginia and Central Florida are about to offer me so I just need to see how things go," he said. "I would like to hear more from South Carolina and South Florida. I like South Florida."

Richardson and teammate defensive end Brandon Willis will camp at Florida this summer and as for other camp destinations that remains to be seen at this time.

"Brandon and I are going to go to the Florida camp in June for sure. It looks like we will go to South Carolina and Tennessee I am not sure yet or we might go to a camp at Alabama or LSU it just depends on how things work out but we will be at Florida in June. I will visit the schools that have offered me for sure like Michigan State especially since they were the first team to offer me but all the teams that offer I will go visit."

Richardson has been staying busy running track where he participates in the 100 with a top time of 10.7 flat this year and the 4x100 relay.

Byrne high school will travel this season to take on power house St. Thomas Aquinas.

"Every time I visit a school and I tell someone that we are going to go play St. Thomas Aquinas they are like, 'whoa, that's a great team you are going to face," Richardson said. "We know they are a strong team and we can't wait to get down there and play them. They have a couple lock down corners so that will be a good challenge for our wide receivers to face. We have some great players and want to see what they have to offer. We will take it one game at a time but that will be a huge game for us."
