Mack Brown at 30 and Counting

The nation's No. 7 ranked running back from Lithonia (GA) King can do it all. A great combination of power and speed at 5-11 and 188-pounds and has run as low as 4.33. Mack Brown can do it all, inside or outside, and when he hits open field, it's over.

With vision, balance, awareness and cutting ability, it's no wonder some of the nation's top programs have been to Lithonia, Ga. this spring. Mack Brown is the complete back and the No. 1 target for many teams and is a high priority for head coach Urban Meyer and the Florida Gators.

"I think just about every school that has offered me has been to my school to check in on me," Brown said. "Visitors to MLK this spring include Florida, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Alabama and more. Georgia is coming next week I think."

Monday May 4, Brown and as many as 10 Division I prospects from MLK put the pads on for the first time this season.

"Monday it was a little bit rough for the first hour or so," he said. "It felt like we haven't had full pads on forever but after that it was all good. We have been going at it real hard so far this week. Every day in practice it's been like a gameday atmosphere at our practice. We are going real hard this spring and it will pay off for us this season. We have guys getting offers everyday it seems. Monday we had a new one and before that a few other players got some offers as well. It's been great having all the college coaches come out to our practice so they can see all the talent that we have on this team."

MLK has it's spring game next Friday. The two big games on the schedule this season will be against Southwest DeKalb and then Stephenson High School.
