Spring Recruit Tracker: Roy Finch

Even at 5-8 and 175-pounds, Roy Finch from Niceville (FL) High School is one of the most electric playmakers throughout the state of Florida and the Southeast region.

"Well spring is going great so far," Roy Finch said. "Everybody is playing with a lot of passion and getting better. The coaches have me at running back, slot receiver, punt, and kick return so I'm doing pretty much everything. I play a little quarterback as well in certain situations, so I'm excited. We look pretty good on offense, we have a more complete passer this year and a better established ground game. Our receivers aren't as deep, but we have a phenomenal receiver in Kody Williams who is being recruited heavily. Our defense is faster than last year but not as big, but will help us against faster teams. They have been aggressive so far and have competed on every play."

Florida, Oklahoma, Florida State, Kansas State, Michigan and California are a few that have come to check out Finch and the rest of his teammates.

Finch has taken the challenge of being a team leader very seriously.

"My role this year is much more crucial I would say just because I'm a senior, and the team looks up to me. Not just to make plays but off the field as a brother and a Christian. I'm going to lead the prayers this year and be more of a vocal leader as well so just a little more responsibility nothing I can't handle."

When Niceville lost to Pine Forest last season it left a bad taste for Niceville and that is the game they have circled right now.

"Our biggest rival this year I would say is pine forest because they beat us last year, and we want revenge. I know a couple players personally so it won't be any bad blood just friendly competition."
