Spring Recruit Tracker: T.J. Stripling

At 6-6 and 220-pounds, Southwest DeKalb High School star T.J. Stripling has all the intangibles the Gator coaches look for in their defensive ends. Located in Decatur, Ga., Southwest DeKalb has been a frequent stop for many college coaches during the May evaluation period.

"Spring practice is going great right now and we are in our last week of practice," T.J. Stripling. "So far I have practiced at defensive end, tight end and wide receiver. Our offense looks great as most of our guys on that side of the ball are coming back this year. We are looking to have a better offensive gameplan than last year. The defense looks great and again most of our players are returning from last season, including our all-county players."

Tennessee, Clemson, Maryland and South Carolina are just a few schools that have stopped in this spring.

"I think our biggest rival this year will be last year's state champs, Tucker and MLK with Mack Brown," Stripling said. "As a leader, the players look to me to be a positive example on and off the field. I must watch what I do and say at all times. As of right now I have not committed to any camps or trips over the summer."
