Burton Looking Towards a State Title

The lone quarterback for the Florida Gators in the class of 2010 is Venice (FL) signal caller Trey Burton. At 6-3 and 215-pounds with exceptional speed and vision, he is a picture perfect fit for what the Gators like to do on the offensive side of the ball. When you watch his film the first thing that stands out is how fast he is.

Trey Burton has tremendous burst through the line and a nasty stiff arm that leaves defenders on the ground.

"We should have a very good team this year," Burton said. "We have six D-1 prospects so we should be pretty good and the only position that I have been playing is quarterback. We lost our starting running back and our entire line except for our center. We also lost one of our best wide receivers but I think we will have a better offensive line than last year. On the defensive side we look very strong with players like Brandon Wilkerson and my brother, Clay Burton. I want to win a state championship this year and if everyone gets on the same page we will be pretty good."

Burton will attend the Elite 11 in Las Vegas and Friday Night Lights in Gainesville over the summer.

The Way I see It:
Burton in my opinion is the picture perfect fit for the Florida offense. With his senior season ahead of him to do the things he needs to do to prepare himself for Florida plus sitting for one year possibly two behind John Brantley he will most definitely be ready to go when his time comes.
