At 6-7 and 220-pounds, T.J. Stripling has the perfect frame and speed that every defensive coordinator looks for in a rush end. From Decatur, Ga., he is certainly one of the top players from the Peach State.
He currently holds offers from some of the top programs in college football. Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and West Virginia are a few of the teams to extend offers.
Stripling visited the Gators and walked out with the Gators on top. One thing that will play an important factor for so many potential prospects and parents is graduation rate. This will be the key difference in where Stripling ultimately decides his college destination. With Tennessee and Georgia having alarmingly low graduation rates it's hard for me to see Stripling ending up at one of those schools.
Factor in the success rate that the Florida Gators have had in the classroom under head coach Urban Meyer and all signs point to Title Town.
My Take: T.J. Stripling
