Two 4-Star Prospects Are Taking Another Look

[MEDIA:32874] This Gator staff will not take no for answer from any recruit. That persistance seems to be paying off as Florida is back in the picture with these two 4 star prospects who have committed elsewhere. Can Florida sway them?

Two four-star prospects that are committed elsewhere and thinking about the Florida Gators right now. Marcus Thomas is committed to FSU and Jayson Swain is committed to Tennessee. Thomas has scheduled a visit to Florida while Swain is thinking about coming in later in January for an official visit.

One of the best defensive tackles in the nation is Marcus Thomas from Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin High School. Thomas recorded an amazing 30 sacks this season. This weekend, he visited Florida State and he committed to the Seminoles back in July.

"Jeff Womble was my host and I had a great time. I had a great talk with Coach Bowden, Andrews and Haggins. They told me I could get a lot of early playing time if I came in in shape. I know that is a place where I could get a great education too."

Thomas has also set up official visits to Mississippi State (1-17) and Florida (1-24). So is the big d-tackle still committed to FSU?

"Right now, I would say it is 75% Florida State and 25% Florida. I am visiting Miss. State and Florida just to make sure and I know Florida is a team that really needs defensive tackles."

There have been some rumblings that Tennessee commitment Jayson Swain may still be looking around at some other schools. This four-star wide receiver from Huntsville, Alabama, committed to the Vols last month.

"I am still committed to Tennessee but I am kind of confused right now," said Swain. "Coach (Mike) Berry left and they didn't look too good in their Bowl game. It kind of makes you think about what's going on up there. I am thinking about visiting Florida. It is so late in the process that if I didn't go to Tennessee, Florida and Michigan are the only two schools I would consider."

Swain has already taken an official visit to Michigan. He participated in the All-American Bowl last weekend and caught two touchdown passes.
