Is He or Isn't He?

[MEDIA:32874] Standout defensive lineman Bryan Pata visited Florida this weekend. Rumors have been running wild that he commited to Ron Zook and the Gators during that visit. Well are the rumors true? Read on and find out straight from the horse's mouth.

Miami (Fla.) Central standout defensive end Bryan Pata took his first official visit of the year this weekend.

"I went up to Gainesville," Pata said. "It was good, I liked it. Me and Maurice [Charles] hung out together. They had us doing a lot of different stuff."

Rumors around the Internet today had Pata making a commitment to Florida.

"What?" he asked. "What's up with that? I had a good time but come on. I'm not committed anywhere. I'll take two more visits and then tell everyone where I'm going."

Pata has visits lined up to Rutgers next weekend and Miami for Jan. 24.

"I'm going up to Rutgers with Willie [Foster], Courtney [Denson] and Marcus [Daniels] so it should be fun," he said. "Then UM is the 24th. UM is still the top one."

Pata said he had a chance to hang out with some fellow UM recruits at the CaliFlorida Bowl earlier this month.

"That was great," he said. "They had us doing all kinds of things. I wanted to prove to everyone that I'm the best d-lineman in the state. I hung out with guys like Cliff [Dickson], Eric [Moncur], and a dude named Earl Everett. I told him he needs to come to Miami."
