"I committed to Florida and I just got back from the trip," said Norris. "I loved the city, campus, academics, football program, everything. The bottom line is that I want to win some rings and that's going to happen at Florida with Ron Zook. The need tight ends and defensive ends. For now, Florida wants me to play defense. I knew if I had a good visit I would commit. Florida just felt right. And I had a great time."
Norris, 6-3 and 245 pounds, committed to the Gators over LSU, Tennessee, FSU and Georgia Tech. This season, he was named the region's most valuable player on defense. He had 65 tackles and 7.5 sacks. He also played half the season at tight end and the other half at offensive tackle.
