"The morning session went great today," Jonathan Dowling said. "I didn't play as good at defensive back as I could have but then went over to wide receiver and was exceptional and all the coaches told me that I was doing great playing wide receiver. They think that I have great ball skills so for the second session that is about to start I will play the entire time at wideout."
Many think that a position change, if that is the case, is not something that Dowling was wanting to hear but that isn't necessarily the case.
"Man my goal is to win a national title and I want to do whatever I can to help the Gators reach that goal. If it means that I need to play wide receiver, then so be it. I will do whatever needed to help that team win football games. Wherever I am needed and can gets me on the field faster I am willing to do whatever they ask me to do."
Recently, rumors have swirled about his commitment to the Gators and Dowling put those to bed once and for all.
"That is nothing but garbage," he said. "I am only looking at one school and that is the University of Florida. I love Florida and love my decision. I have a great relationship with all of the Gator coaches and I will not following anyone to South Florida, period."
