Millines Leaves Gainesville with a Leader

Darius Millines from American Heritage High School showed his stuff in front of the Florida coaching staff during Monday's camp and came away feeling good about the Gators. At 6-0, 180-pounds, the wide receiver from Delray Beach (FL) American Heritage High School left Gainesville with a front runner.

With more than 10 offers, one school sticks out more than the rest for Darius Millines.

"The Gators are on top," he said. "I loved the campus and the coaches. The camp was fun."

"I enjoyed being coached by Coach Gonzales a lot because he is a great coach," Millines said. "He was showing me that when I catch the ball to keep my head and eyes on the ball where the point is connected on the ball. I did great [yesterday], I think from what they were telling me. The staff talked to me about the graduation rate and all kind of things and we talked about the communications program. They told me that school comes first before football and that means a lot."

Millines wasn't the only one that came away impressed.

"My parents loved what they saw," he said. "They all talked to Coach Urban Meyer and Gonzales. They were with me when the coaches were telling us about the graduation rate and academics."
