Chaz Green: One-on-One

Chaz Green is one of the top players in the nation regardless of position. The Tampa (FL) Catholic High School offensive tackle talks recruiting and who is the team to beat.

Jason Higdon: What has surprised you about the recruiting process so far?

Chaz Green: How overwhelming this process is.

JH: What is something that you have learned about any school recruiting you that you did not know when this process started?

CG: How great the Florida staff is and how hard they work.

JH: If you had to give one piece of advice to an upcoming 2011 player that will be very heavily recruited what would that advice be for he and his family?

CG: Don't let the pressure get to you, but at the same time don't let it spoil you. When the time is right you will make the right decision.

JH: If you have a leader who is it and why? and who else are you still considering?

CG: Florida leads because of how close I am with the whole Gator family. I like their work ethic as a whole and as individuals. USC is second and I am considering Tennessee and Ohio State. I'm also considering USC. I like Coach Ruel and he also likes me, he feels I have great ability and can be something special. I like Ohio State as well. I haven't talked to their offensive line coach but I talked with Jim Tressel and Coach Johnson. Their campus and academics are really impressive I've heard, but it is definitely another school in consideration. I went up to Tennessee and they also have a great campus and facilities, I probably would have a good chance of playing early with them.

JH: Would you say that the chances are high that you and Christian Green end up at the same school?

CG: I would say that the chances are real high that me and Christian go to the same school. We would really like for that to happen.

JH: Time table for possibly making announcement?

CG: My time table as of now is looking like before fall starts of the next school year.
