Georgia RB talks about Florida trip

Ken Malcome has plenty of options moving forward. The Decatur (GA) Southwest Dekalb High School product has offers from some of the top programs in the country, including the defending national champion Florida Gators. Malcome recently took a trip to see Gainesville again with teammate and the top defensive end in the state of Georgia, T.J. Stripling.

"It went great," Ken Malcome said. "My grandparents drove T.J. and I down to Gainesville for the second time. We got there around 8:00 a.m. When we first got there we went and talked with the coaches, Coach Meyer and Coach McCarney. After we spoke with the coaches we went and met some of the players and had a real nice tour of the campus. We met Jermaine Cunningham, Chris Rainey, Joe Haden, Branden James and a few others. Then we went to listen to Coach Meyer speak and stuff like that it was great to listen to him talk. It was great seeing Coach Carter again. That was the second time I had a chance to hang out with him so we are starting to bond a lot more. We talked a lot about ball security and how he will work me harder than any other coach I will find."

Malcome camped with Georgia this past weekend and will try and take a trip to Ohio State. His other offers include Oklahoma, Clemson, Florida State, West Virginia, Alabama and Auburn.

Malcome missed four games during his junior season (with right knee and ankle sprains) but still rushed for more than 980 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. He said he can bench 300-pounds and squat 400. Malcome also runs track (10.9 100m, 22.5 200m), but only plans on playing football in college.
