Ross Enjoys Time in The Swamp

Daytona Beach (FL) Mainland's O.J. Ross is one of the fastest wide receiver prospects in the state of Florida. Checking in at 5-10 and 176-pounds with 4.36 speed, he finished his junior season with 34 catches for just less than 700 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was named Honorable Mention All-State FSWA 5A, All Central Florida Second Team and All-Area First Team, All-County (Volusia).

The defending national champion Florida Gators are in the middle of the camp season, and to a man every prospect that has stepped foot in The Swamp has come away saying the exact same thing.

"It's going real good. I love it," O.J. Ross said. "I really want to go to school here. I can see myself as a Gator, and man, this is a wonderful atmosphere."

The Gators have received verbal commitments from two wide receivers in as many days with Solomon Patton and Stephen Alli. The wide receiver board is beginning to take shape in a year when the champs would like to land a maximum of five wideouts. If the Gators take five that means only three spots remain for some very good wide receiver prospects.

Players like Justin McCay, Christian Green, Chris Dunkley, Kadron Boone, James Louis, Ivan McCartney, O.J. Ross and others are some names that all mention the Gators near or at the top of their boards.

I will answer any and all questions surrounding the wide receiver board tonight in chat at 10:30 p.m.
